While in Forster/Tuncurry a visit to this unique working craft centre is a must - founded in 1965 it is a self supporting organisation run for the benefit of all members by a hard working committee.
Beautiful items all made by members cover a wide range including beading, quilting, patchwork, pottery, painting, knitting (including baby wear), china painting and quilling are all available for sale. So if you are looking for a special gift, come along and see the wide variety from large quilts to birthday cards.
Members enjoy friendship and sharing of knowledge as well as use of the wonderful facilities at the centre, which include potters wheels, kilns and large cutting tables. Workshops are often held and cover a variety of crafts.
These are changed on a regular basis throughout the year and often reflect the season or special days such as Christmas, Easter, Mother and Father's days etc.
Each year a special Quilt and Craft Exhibition is held on the third weekend in May and features the best work from our members during the year from all sections of the society. This show is not to be missed not only by those interested in all things crafty, but by anyone who appreciates beautiful work.
