myall coast must do's

Myall Lakes National Park is a walker’s paradise from coastal beach to the Myall River and world class Myall Lakes. You will be amazed at the wildlife you will see.

....................

Yacaaba Headland is a volcanic peak beside Hakes Nest and a part of the Myall Lakes experience. Pack supplies and head off for a moderate graded walk to the top. The headland is abundant in wildlife and has spectacular 360-degree views.

....................

Spring is wild flower time in the Great Lakes and a great time to bushwalk. One of many spectacular wild flower displays can be seen with a sea of flannel flowers just south of the Green point turn off and you may be lucky on your visit to see in great numbers our bold and beautiful yellow tailed black cockatoos feeding on the banksias in this area. The Myall Coast has spectacular wild flowers along the coast.

....................

Take a Cruise out to Broughton Island, stay a day or camp over night – your choice. This place has the best snorkelling in NSW.

....................

Take an early morning walk through very special Koala habitats in Hawks Nest for a glimpse of this icon in the wild.

....................

Explore the waters around three of NSW largest Islands off the coast of Hawks Nest/Tea Gardens, Cabbage Tree island is the only breeding site in the world for the rare seabird, Gould’s Petrel, but only view them from the water.
